About me

I'm a software developer living near Munich, Germany. Programming has been a hobby for since I was a little kid and I make a living with this hobby since 2000.

For about 10 years I was working as a Linux specialist: I created and maintained an in-house Linux "distribution" which was used to develop several appliances (a thin client and several VoIP appliances) on multiple platforms (x86, PowerPC, ARM). I was doing software development on Linux using all kinds of languages (speciality: cross-compiling) and even doing kernel programming.

Since 2008, I started working with iOS and since 2010 I'm a full-time iOS and Mac developer. I have also written some guides for Objective-C development.

I also enjoy working close to the metal which is why I like to experiment with microcontrollers and have also experimented with programming the Sega MegaDrive.
