Men occasionally stumble over the truth, but most of them pick themselves up and hurry off as if nothing had happened.

Wrote my own theme

At first I was using the Drupal theme "Garland" but I wanted to create my own. The result is what you see right now.

It took a lot of time to get the three-columns layout working correctly and even now I'm not completely satisfied with the behaviour when the browser window gets too small, but I don't want to spend even more time on it right now. My own design is inspired by the Garland theme but is darker. This caused a few problems because the GeSHi syntax highlighting plugin, "Nice Menus" plugin and Gallery2 system were all expecting a light background or had size problems. I needed to tweak their respective CSS files, unfortunately, because not everything could be solved by just modifying my own site CSS file.

My work is not as top-class as the Garland theme but I'm quite satisfied with the result. It took me two days of work and there are still a lot of details to improve but it's now ready to go live.

I've tested my site with Safari, Firefox and Opera and it works exactly the same on all three: all problems I know off apear on all three browsers ;-). I don't have a Windows PC so I can't test with Internet Exploder... I'm not sure whether I care for it anywayas it's the most primitive browser. Unfortunately it's still the most widely used browser AFAIK.
